  • 2006

    In the Beginning

    CNSG started poolside, when Dave Wilson and Matt Harty decided to go into business together. When Dave asked Matt what they should do about a business plan, Matt looked at Dave thoughtfully, scribbled some words on a napkin and pushed it towards him. The napkin simply read, “sell, sell, sell.” Selling has always been the motive, but we are truly in the relationship business. When you pair that with unmatched support and expertise, you always win.

    First Partnerships

    2007 was a big year for us. We signed our first partnership agreements with XO Communications (now a Verizon company) and TW Telecom. We also opened the first CNSG Charlotte office, hired the first CNSG team member (operations) and onboarded our 1st sales agent.

    Managing Partner Program

    Image description
    The Managing Partner Program is established. We currently have 13 Managing Partners all across the continental United States and this is the only program of its kind in our industry. Fun fact: Charlotte is the home of CNSG Managing Partners Frank Llaneza and John Schwarze, who both help establish new corporate initiatives and partnerships for CNSG’s continued growth.

    Rookie of the Year

    CNSG receives our 1st Rookie of the Year award from XO Communications. This award began the expansion of our now 160+ supplier portfolio and over 50 awards and recognitions for the CNSG team. It takes a lot of lemon Pledge® to dust the trophy shelf off.

    D.C. Office Opens

    Image description
    Managing Partner Ali Niroo opens the CNSG D.C. office and quickly becomes one of the channel’s most powerful forces. Ali continues to dominate in the D.C. metro and surrounding areas, sharing his winning expertise by aligning customers with unique telecom solutions and great support. CNSG Fact: The DMV is also home to Managing Partners Ajaye Rollerson, Chris Martin, Rajiv Thacker, and Scott McBrien, who are all experts in their respective markets. Partner with them if you have a targeted focus in hospitality, commercial real estate, the medical vertical, or anything else, really!

    1st Presidents Club Trip

    At this point we had enough sales partners and success to celebrate! We honored top partners and suppliers in Miami and attended with the Colts vs. Saints game. By the way, if you’re wondering the Saints won 31 to 17. This year, we’re headed back to Miami. Will you be joining us?

    Atlanta Office Opens

    Managing Partner, Ryan Will opens the CNSG Atlanta office and quickly expands to surrounding cities and border states. Ryan and his team continue to dominate the Southeast market, and are experts in innovation, partner and client support, cloud, security, and data center services. Under his leadership, his team works directly with key suppliers and partners to develop essential customer solutions with unmatched knowledge and expertise.

    1st Partner Forum

    We brought together partners and suppliers from all over the country to network, learn about the latest industry trends and ways to win big. This event occurs annually and is designed to bring together the industry’s heaviest hitters.

    Expansion to Texas (and Florida)

    Image description
    Everything is bigger in Texas, including our partnerships! CNSG expanded to Texas, and welcomed Managing Partners Nader Barghouthi and Rebecca Pustejovsky to the family. Both Managing Partners dominate by creating customer solutions that not only allow them to outsell their competitors, but also support their customers effectively and efficiently. Fun fact: Rebecca lives in Florida and frequently travels to support her customers and partners!

    Expanded to Arizona

    Officially, Arizona’s five C’s are: Copper, Cattle, Cotton, Citrus and Climate. The sixth? CNSG! Managing Partner, Peter Reiss, continues to establish out-of-the-box partnerships and guide his customers towards success with the help of his team. He continues to expand on the West Coast, offering expert client support and solutions design assistance.

    CNSG Charleston Office Opens

    Hosted the 1st CNSG Blueprint Event

    The CNSG Blueprint for Success was created by Devin Williams, CNSG’s VP of Strategy. The Blueprint initiative includes several seminars, where partners receive solutions and product training from some of the best suppliers in our industry. At the end of the seminar, partners are able to develop true turnkey solutions for customers, fully qualify opportunities, and assess their current customer base for immediate pipeline generation.     New England Expansion

    CNSG expands to New England and welcomes Managing Partner Phil Howard. Phil always puts his partners and customers first, supporting them by assessing how he can strategically position suppliers and team members for the success of their businesses.
