Matthew Harty | President/CEO
Matt Harty founded Converged Network Service Group after more than 25 years of experience in the data and telecommunications industry. As President of XO Communication’s Commercial Division, Matt was responsible for the sales, marketing, and service implementation of XO’s products to business customers across the Continental U.S. Previously, Matt held senior leadership positions with MCI and Frontier Communications. Matt graduated magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Political Science, from Villanova University in 1991, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
David Wilson | Chief Operating Officer
David Wilson joined CNSG with more 14 years experience in sales and sales management roles in the voice and data communications sector. As a top performing Sales Manager for XO Communications Enterprise Account team, David was responsible for voice, data, collocation, hardware, and managed solutions sales to XO’s enterprise and government customers. Previously, David was a senior sales manager with Allegiance Telecom. David serves on the Board of Directors for the Morrison YMCA in Charlotte, N.C. and represents several committees within the YMCA. He is very active in fundraising for the Starfish reading program that provides reading assistance to underprivileged elementary school children around the nation. David graduated from Elon College with a B.S. in Business Management and Management Information Systems.
Scott Laing | Chief Technology Officer
Scott Laing joined CNSG with more than 17 years in web development, marketing, and analytics work for clients in a variety of sectors. Previously, Scott was a web analyst for Erwin Penland Marketing where he performed web analytics and strategic direction on projects for clients such as Advance America, Verizon, Scansource, and Michelin. His experience includes management of a large e-government project in San Diego County, development of web applications in the Real Estate sector, and development of websites for Biotech and Pharma clients. Scott graduated from East Carolina University with a BFA in Design and an MBA.
Randy Friedberg | VP of Sales and Marketing
Randy Friedberg joined the CNSG team with close to 20 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industry partner channels. Prior to his current role with CNSG, Randy was a National Partner Development Manager for Time Warner Cable. Previously, Randy was the Vice President of Sales for Green Cloud Technologies and was also the first sales representative and channel manager for Trivergent/Nuvox Communications (acquired by Windstream). Throughout his career, Randy has been recognized as a top performing sales manager. In addition to helping his partners achieve monumental growth and success, Randy has received numerous awards for his accomplishments in sales, support, and leadership. Randy graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Applied Professional Sciences.
Sara Layton | VP of Operations
Sara is an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in technology and telecommunications. Prior to joining CNSG in 2011, she spent 10 years at Windstream, serving in a variety of management roles including Billing Investigations, Carrier Sales Operations, and Project Management. As Vice President of Operations, Sara is responsible for oversight and management of the core business functions of CNSG including Partner & Customer Support, Commissions, Project Management, Cable Operations and Human Resources. Additionally, Sara is involved with YMCA Charities, volunteer work with her sons’ schools & travel baseball clubs and is an active member of Women in the Channel and American Association of University Women. Sara graduated with a BA in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh.
Frank Llaneza | Director of Corporate Development
Frank Llaneza joined CNSG with substantial experience in intensive credit analysis, financial modeling, private equity ventures, Debt Capital Markets, corporate bond restructuring and liability management. Previously, Frank managed Wachovia Securities debt and equity exposure for the Corporate and Investment Bank’s distressed syndicated loan portfolio. He has served in various leadership roles in the Media & Telecommunications, IT/Business Services, Consumer Products and Specialty & Chemical products sectors. In addition, Frank has been involved in a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including real estate acquisition and development and fiber-to-the-home provisioning. He graduated as the First Honor Graduate from the Citadel, Military College of South Carolina.
Rob Koehler | Director of Sales
Rob has over 12 years of sales experience in telecommunications, cloud and IT services. Prior to joining CNSG in 2014, he served in a variety of sales roles at XO and AT&T including channel manager and enterprise account manager. As Director of Corporate Sales, he is responsible for managing corporate partner recruitment, development and performance. He works with supplier channel managers and their leadership teams to drive sales results, enhance support resources and attract new partners. He also provides general sales support for all CNSG Managing Partners. Rob graduated cum laude, with a BS in Business and Management Information Systems from Miami University in Oxford, OH.
David Hopper | Director of Sales Engineering
Dave joined CNSG as Director of Sales Engineering in 2016 with an impressive background of channel experience. He is an expert in the fast evolving world of SD-WAN, Cloud, and UCaaS solutions. As Director of Sales at Green Cloud Technologies, Dave developed strategic relationships with channel partners to increase profitability by growing recurring revenue streams. Prior to Green Cloud, Dave developed business solutions as the Customer Sales and Solutions Engineer for Windstream, providing expertise-level technical support and later as Director of Account Management.

Reagan Roberts | Channel Manager
Reagan joined CNSG in 2016 with almost a decade of experience in technology and communications. Her past roles include Account Executive positions at Time Warner, Cogent Communications, and Level 3 Communications. As a CNSG Channel Manager, Reagan is focused on recruiting new partners, strengthening existing partner relationships, and driving sales results with a strong emphasis on quote requests, enhanced onboarding, and comprehensive sales support. She brings years of experience and a commitment to customer support. In 2008, she earned her BA in English from Georgia Southern University.
Oliver Maxwell | Channel Manager
Oliver joined CNSG in 2016 and is currently an Inside Channel Manager. Oliver is focused on new partner recruitment, strengthening existing partner relationships, and driving sales results with a strong emphasis on new partner support. Previously, Oliver worked as an Account Executive, selling data and voice services to businesses in the Carolinas.
In 2014, Oliver graduated with a BA in English Language from UNC Chapel Hill.
Shaquille Fontenot | Director of Marketing
Shaquille joined CNSG with 4 years of marketing, graphics, and public relations experience. As Director of Marketing, she is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all short and long term CNSG marketing strategies including digital and field marketing, incentive programs, sales tools, partner education, partner engagement and recruitment, supplier relations, and supplier partner events. Her past roles include directorships at Clemson University, User Interface Design, and consulting work. Along with this work experience, Shaquille brings a passion for communications, and innovative marketing techniques. In 2014, she earned her BA in English from Clemson University.
Emily Koehler | Marketing Manager
Emily Koehler joined CNSG’s Marketing Team in 2016. Her responsibilities include supplier account management, supplier onboarding, graphic design and creative projects. Emily began her career at Impact Branding & Design, LLC in Connecticut, where she was responsible for applying the best inbound marketing techniques. She also worked for JCJ Architecture and was responsible for tracking, reporting, and facilitating external communications.
In 2014, she graduated from High Point University with a BA in Strategic Communications.
Christine Sammons | Events & Sponsorship Manager
Christine joined CNSG in 2009 with more than 20 years in office administration experience, along with several years of graphic design experience. Christine is responsible for overseeing the company’s office administration-management, along with partner communications, channel marketing and events management. Christine brings strong organizational, project management and customer-vendor relation skills to CNSG. Christine’s previous event management experience has given her the ability to develop and execute CNSG partner events, including the annual President’s Club sales-incentive trips and Partner Forum & Golf Tournament. Christine earned her A.B.A. in Office Administration from Baker Business College in MI, along with an A.A.S. in Graphic Design at Central Piedmont Community College in NC.
Rajiv Thacker | National Channel Manager
Rajiv joined CNSG with more than 11 years of experience in voice and data communications sector. As a top 10 producer for XO Communications Enterprise Account team, Rajiv was responsible for voice, data, collocation, hardware, and managed solutions sales to XO’s enterprise and government customers. Rajiv was a Major Accounts Manager with Allegiance Telecom. Rajiv graduated from University of Maryland College Park with honors in B.S. in Marketing. He is the proud father of two daughters.
Shonda Funderburk | Supervisor of Cable Services
Shonda Funderburk has over 15 years of experience in telecom operations. Prior to joining CNSG in 2014, she held roles at Alltel and Windstream including Inside Sales and a myriad of back office support functions in Order Management, Commissions, Billing Investigations and IT Applications Support. As Supervisor of Cable Services, she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the order cycle by the Cable team which includes Fiber & COAX product inquiries and quotes, serviceability checks, order agreements & submission & tracking including status follow-up through to installation and post service delivery inquiries, and any cable escalation request. She is committed to the growth; she drives timely results and fosters relationships with our agent partners and service providers. Shonda is a 1994 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.S. in Information Systems & Operations Management.
Jon Kaplan | Cable Channel Manager
Jon joined CNSG in 2010 after owning and managing a successful automotive services business. Jon manages the CNSG cable practice that includes a comprehensive portfolio of the top 8 MSOs. Verifying service, generating paperwork and submitting/tracking orders are some of the core support functions Jon performs on a daily basis for CNSG partners. He also works with our cable suppliers to schedule training sessions, coordinate networking events and secure additional support resources for large cable projects. Jon graduated with a BBA in Business Management and Marketing from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ.
Matthew Taylor | Cable Desk Manager
Matthew joined CNSG’s Cable Team in 2015. His responsibilities include generating service order agreements, order status & tracking through to completion as well as building and fostering relationships with both our provider and agent partners. He began his career working as a District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America and from that experience brings outstanding task management and customer support to his daily duties. In 2011, he earned a BA in history from North Carolina State University. And in 2006, earned his Eagle Scout award.
Andrew Hall | Cable Desk Manager
Andrew joined CNSG’s Cable Team in 2016. His responsibilities include generating service order agreements, order status & tracking through to completion as well as building and fostering relationships with both our provider and agent partners.
In 2013, he earned two degrees in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University.
Aldwin Navarro | Account Support Manager II
Aldwin Navarro joined CNSG with 8 years experience in Telecommunication sales (VoIP), pre sales qualification/lead generator for US Voice and Data, pre and post install support, account management roles and customer care/support. Aldwin is responsible for the coordination of account or technical issues with service providers and drive them to resolution. He is a graduate of B.S. Commerce from Jose Rizal University (Philippines).
Barry Filomeno | Account Support Manager
Barry joined the CNSG in 2014. As a member of the Operations team, Barry is responsible for customer order entry and order status and providing our partners the related installation notifications. He also lends project support to our varying operation teams. In 2000, he earned his BA in Economics from Universidad de Manila Philippines.
Dave Gonda | Account Support Manager
Dave joined CNSG in 2016 with more than 10 years of customer relationship experience. Previous work completed was in the fields of Technical Support, Customer Service and Care including credit & collection. As an Account Support Manager, Dave is responsible for order entry & tracking, status reports and project coordination and management as assigned. He earned his Computer Management BSBA in 2004 from Colegio De San Juan De Letran in Manila, Philippines.
Kaitlin Stewart | Senior Partner Support Manager
Kaitlin joined CNSG in 2013 after graduating from Western Carolina University with a dual BS in Psychology and Sociology. Kaitlin is the primary advocate for CNSG partners regarding commissions, order tracking and other critical back office support. In addition to partner support, she holds CNSG suppliers accountable for accurate order reporting and commission statements. This ensures partner commissions are paid in a timely fashion and any discrepancies are resolved swiftly.
Emily Goodman | Partner Support Manager
Emily joined CNSG’s Operations Team in 2014 after graduating from Western Carolina University with a BA in English. She provides essential support to the Sales Team as the primary contact for partner agreements as well as partner inquiries related to CNSG’s order & commission system. As Partner Support Manager, Emily is our one-stop go to for any inquiry as she ensures that any and all are answered.
Hannah MacCall | Partner Support Manager
Hannah MacCall joined CNSG in October 2016 after graduating from Western Carolina University with a B.S in Psychology. Hannah has the primary responsibility of transitioning all CNSG commission reports into RPM, ensuring accuracy in payouts and data information.
Ali Niroo | Managing Partner – DC Metro
Ali Niroo graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Marketing and Minor in Finance in 2001, and has over 14 years experience in sales roles in the voice and data communications sector. He started his career with XO Communications in outside sales, and after a very successful career, as a sales professional and consistent President’s Club member for five years. Ali later moved on to run the Enterprise team for a Metro Ethernet player based out of Washington, DC named Allied Telecom. His responsibilities included developing carrier relationships, expanding the network through requirement and network expansion to sell IP Transit, Point to Points, to the enterprise, carrier and government sectors. He led all Allied Telecom in sales revenue, and was consistently recognized as a top performer at XO Communications. Ali Niroo received his B.A. in Business, graduating from James Madison University in 2001, where he also was a member of the Varisty football team at Nothereastern University and James Madison in 1996, 1997, 1998 at the d1-aa collegiate level. Ali currently resides in Washington DC, and is President of US Voice and Data, LLC. He is an exclusive partner with CNSG.
Ajaye Rollerson | Managing Partner – Charlotte
Ajaye Rollerson brings over 13 years of telecom experience to the CNSG team. He has a held various sales positions and has proven himself to be efficient in meeting the needs of his customers. Ajaye previously worked for Cavalier Telephone Company (now Windstream) managing indirect channel sales in the Norfolk, Virginia market. Mr. Rollerson is the founder and president of Communication Telecom Group which started in 2011 and serves businesses primarily in Virginia and the Carolinas. Ajaye is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC in 2002 with a B.S. in Business with a minor in Marketing. Currently, he resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is an exclusive partner with CNSG.
Rebecca Pustejovsky | Managing Partner – Florida/Texas
Becca joined CNSG in 2011 and brings over fourteen years of experience and sales excellence in the telecommunications industry. Before joining CNSG, she worked as an Enterprise Account Executive for Time Warner Cable, covering the state of Texas. In this role she focused on wide area network Fiber builds for Fortune 1000 companies. Before taking on this role, Becca worked as a Senior Major Account Executive with XO Communications for 8 years, where she was a consistent President’s Club Winner and national top performer selling Voice, Data, MPLS, IVR SIP, Hosted Solutions, and Fixed Wireless nationwide. She began her career in Washington DC with Allegiance Telecom, which was later purchased by XO. Rebecca received her B.A in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. After spending many years in Washington DC and Austin, TX, she is excited to have recently relocated with her husband and two children to her home state of sunny Florida.
Chris Martin | Managing Partner – Maryland
Chris Martin joined the CNSG team with over eight years of telecom experience. Chris has worked in various sales roles with Allegiance telecom and XO Communications most recently managing the indirect sales channel in the Carolinas. Chris has been a constant top performer throughout his sales career winning many sales accolades. Chris attended Elon University where he graduated in 2002 with a B.S. in Business with concentrations in Marketing and Management. Chris currently resides in Annapolis, Maryland, and is President of CM5 Communications, LLC. He is an exclusive partner with CNSG.
Scott McBrien | Managing Partner – DC Metro
Scott McBrien joined CNSG in 2009, with 2 years of experience in sales and business development. Prior to that Scott played Quarterback for the University of Maryland where he was named MVP of the Peach Bowl in 2002 and MVP of the Gator Bowl in 2004. In 2005 he was signed as a free agent by the Green Bay Packers where he spent two seasons with Bret Favre. In 2006, Scott signed with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL. Scott is still very involved in the community and giving back as he runs QB camps throughout the year teaching QB’s of all ages what it takes to make it to the “Next Level”. Scott currently reside in Rockville, MD.
Ryan G. Will | Managing Partner - Atlanta
Ryan Will joined CNSG in 2009 with more than 14 years of senior management experience in the data and telecommunications industry and leads CNSG’s expansion efforts. Prior to his current work with CNSG, Ryan was a Vice President of Sales at Internap Network Services where he managed sales in the Eastern U.S. Region and Canada. In addition, Ryan spent over 10 years with XO Communications, the final 5 years he held the position of Vice President of Sales and Retention where he was responsible for over 300 sales and sales support employees. Ryan holds a B.S in Business Management from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. Ryan is also the founder of Commonwealth Telecom and currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
Nader Barghouthi | Managing Partner – Texas
Nader Barghouthi joined CNSG in 2013 with over 15 years of experience selling and building solutions for enterprises and service providers within the Telecommunications, Cloud Services, Professional Services & Managed Services industries for both Direct Sales & Partner Channels. He has held various roles in Sales and in Engineering with Verizon, Level 3 and most recently with EarthLink Business, as Director of Solutions Engineers for the Indirect National Sales Organization. His responsibilities included developing a consultant organization to provide technical sales support, focused on selling IT Services such as data center services, virtualization services, application services, security services, unified communications and connectivity services. Nader attended University of Texas in Austin. He currently resides in Trophy Club, Texas, and is president of CirrusXChange, LLC
Peter Reiss | Managing Partner – West Coast
Peter Reiss joined CNSG in 2014 with more than 15 years of sales and senior management experience in the data and telecommunications industry and leads CNSG’s expansion efforts in the West. Prior to his current work with CNSG, Peter was a General Manager at Level 3 Communications where he managed sales and support in the Southwest Region. Under his leadership, the Southwest was the Number One performing GM Region within all of Level 3 for four consecutive years.
He holds a B.A. in Communication with a Business Minor in Marketing from Arizona State University. After graduating, Peter spent over 15 years with Level 3 Communications where he was consistently recognized as a top performer within any of the sales and sales leadership roles he held.
Peter has had the distinct honor of achieving President’s Club a record-setting 14 consecutive years. He is also the founder of C 3 Partners, LLC and resides in the Phoenix metro area.
John Schwarze | Managing Partner
John joined the CNSG team in 2011 and began as a Channel Manager and transitioned into the role of Director of Sales. There he oversaw most of the traditional Master Agency relationships sales and support. In 2015, he moved into a Managing Partner role and supports his partners in all aspects of their customers’ needs from our portfolio of providers. John graduated from Michigan State University and a distant second to his appreciation of being a family man, is his appreciation of the outdoors and all of its beauty.
Phil Howard | Managing Partner - Boston
Recognized throughout his career for being a visionary sales leader, Phil Howard, exemplifies what CNSG is founded upon. He truly benefits his partners by leveraging 15 years of in-depth knowledge in the telecom world and competing landscape. Phil is known in the startup space for growing new markets and significantly increasing billed revenue and positively affecting a company’s EBITDA. Before making his way to CNSG he was the one called in to revive dead territories and build new markets. His tenure in the Carrier world has proven an ability to not only provide excellent solutions for his customers that effect solid organizational, communication, and high return on investment, but is also known for creating a high trust sales ecosystem where everybody wins. It is no surprise that Phil has a long pedigree of record breaking sales and awards as he cares about people and puts his agents and customers first.
Phil graduated with a BA from Colorado State University. He currently lives outside the Boston Technology Beltway with his wife and seven children. He is is an active member of his community and likes to spend his time, hiking, splitting wood, and BBQing.
